Polly’s in Memphis

We stopped briefly in Memphis, Tennessee for a breakfast on the famous Beale Street, a National Historic Landmark known for the many great blues musicians who recorded here. We ate at a tawdry honky-tonk bar named “Polly’s.” While I enjoyed taking these photos while we waited for our eggs and biscuits, I have to say that the breakfast there could only be enjoyed by partiers too hung over to taste how bad it was.

And yes, this honky-tonk joint is really as colorful as shown here. I couldn’t resist a self-portrait below of me photographing the door!
